The design is ready, the volunteers are eager and most importantly, the old cabin is in the landfill. So now the countdown is on!
This spring we will build a new staff cabin at the Lumsden Beach Camp. All we need to make it happen is a lot of hard work, many prayers and some money. The praying has begun. The work will start in earnest this spring. Right now, we need money!

A big thank you to those who are organizing this important fundraiser.
ReplyDeleteEvery summer, our 3 children come home from camp more mature, centred, peaceful - and exhausted. Every summer that I volunteer at LBC, I come home from camp more peaceful, centred, mature (in behavior, not age...) - and happily exhausted. What a great experience LBC is!
This 3-day staff cabin build is such a wonderful project that will allow our full-time staff much-needed rest and time (not to mention shelter) to rejuvenate themselves for their important jobs of providing physical and spiritual leadership for our children. It is astounding how the staff of recent years lived in a building that had deteriorated to such an unhealthy and unsafe state.
Our family took up the challenge to donate to this important project. I hope you will, too!
